The mayor of Caravaca, Domingo Aranda, accompanied by the Councillor for Women, Family and Social Development, Carmen Ruiz, met today in the Meeting Room of City Hall at Gen Verde, a group formed by 24 women artists from 13 nations will present Sunday the show "Rhapsody" in Caravaca de la Cruz.
Gene Green will undertake various activities in Caravaca within the celebrations of International Women's Day and Family V Conference sponsored by the Department of Women, Family and Social Development of the City of Caravaca.
The members of the group will participate in several meetings with students and conduct a performance presentation of the book "Women in the history of Caravaca" next Friday.
The highlight will be Sunday, March 7, at 19.30 in hall Juan Antonio Corbalan with the staging of "Rhapsody", a show that combines music, dance and images and transmits a message of peace and unity.
Gene Green, training related to the Focolare Movement, held during its 40 year history more than 1,300 shows all over Europe, Asia and America.
A constant that has characterized the work of Gene Green from the first concerts to this day has been to combine art and life through music and theater.
The mayor, Domingo Aranda, has welcomed all the members of Gen Verde, returning to the city of Caravaca after three years.
"The Gen Verde and the Holy Year 2010 has much in common because they share the same message of peace and hope," said Aranda.
