The deputy mayor in the city of Madrid, Ana Botella, visited Caravaca de la Cruz for the Holy Year 2010.
On arrival in the city, has been received at the Plenary Hall of the Hall by the mayor, Domingo Aranda, who has delivered a shield of the city.
Then, Ana Botella, accompanied by a large group of caravaqueños, has moved in the train to the Real Basilica de la Vera Cruz to worship the relic.
During the reception the mayor said: "We are delighted to receive this visit in the middle of Holy Year 2010, a year which is held in Caravaca but that is the Region of Murcia.
We thank you for your interest in learning about this city and its history. "
For its part, Ana Botella said that "it is always a pleasure to be in the Region of Murcia and a special way in Caravaca historic privilege to have that shared with four other cities in the world."
To end the visit to Caravaca de la Cruz, Ana Botella has participated in a luncheon to benefit Caritas Solidarity organized by the Popular Party in the town.
