Vital Dent ensures continuity of care or return of money for those affected by the closure of the clinic in Caravaca (30/12/2009)

Murcia Association of Consumers and Users, CONSUMUR, integrated FACUA-Consumers in Action, Vital Dent has managed to ensure continuity of treatment of patients who were affected by the closure of the clinic in Caravaca de la Cruz.

On 15 October, CONSUMUR met through the reporting of several affected, closing on 30 October, Vital Dent Dental Clinic of Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia).

The closing of the clinic located at Calle Gran Vía, n º 5, Caravaca de la Cruz, dedicated to providing comprehensive dental services, leaving tens of users of the center without the possibility of making use contracted services.

The vast majority of users were notified of the closure by the same staff when they went to an appointment with the specialist, in addition to an information poster located at the gateway to the clinic which reported the closure of the facility and the possibility that patients continue the treatment of contracted services at clinics closer Vital Dent, such as those located in the municipalities of Sewer and Lorca.

However, this possibility was not extended to all affected users.

CONSUMUR met through the specific case of the persons concerned who, in the case of patients who, despite having paid full treatment at the beginning of this contract, had no credit on the account linked to the clinical could not be referred to other clinics for the firm to continue with their treatments.

In this situation, some of those affected went to the Municipal Office of Consumer Information Caravaca de la Cruz, maintained by CONSUMUR, which, in coordination with the Department of Legal Services CONSUMUR, went to Vital Dent to demand that ensure continuity of treatment in other centers unfinished or paying her the money for the treatments without end.

Also requested assistance Vital Dent cover possible problems that may arise during the warranty period of treatment.

Thanks to the intervention of CONSUMUR, through their mediation with the Legal Department of Vital Dent, and without having to resort to litigation, the company has ensured the continuity of care in other clinics in the company, the affected so requested, covering all travel expenses.

Those affected who requested a refund of your treatment is not completed, in the case of not accepting the continuation of the same at another facility, may recover the amount thereof.

In all cases, Vital Dent will be responsible for moving the medical records of patients to clinics where they choose to continue treatments.

Also, the company says guarantees all treatments.

The Association is satisfied with the mediation conducted with Vital Dent and encourages consumers and / or users, as the case of those affected by the closure of the clinic Vital Dent, consider that their rights have been violated or want more information , go to the Association.
