The regional government, through its Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the city of Caravaca 120,000 euros have been allocated to the new custody procession of the Blessed and Vera Cruz.

This contribution has been reflected in an agreement signed this week by the mayor, Domingo Aranda, and the brother of the Confraternity of the Vera Cruz, Jose Luis Castillo.

The processional monstrance project commissioned by the Confraternity of the Vera Cruz was approved in a special City Council in February 2007.

Custody, held under the direction of sculptor Luis Alvarez Duarte Seville, will be released in the coming celebrations, coinciding with the celebration of Holy Year 2010.
