Cartagena has joined today the cities of the pilgrimage routes that will support the Holy Year 2010 through various cultural activities, educational and economic.
The mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, and the mayor of Caravaca, Domingo Aranda, have captured today in a document a willingness to work together in the dissemination of tourism products and the history of both cities.
This is the same agreement they have already signed the consistory of Abanilla, Ulea and Granja de Rocamora, whose main objective is to summon the will to promote the Holy Year 2010 and disseminate the main activities under this event.
Among the points covered in the agreement is the joint dissemination and support of tourism products and the history of both cities, the holding of exchanges of students and the implementation of special discounts and promotions in stores and restaurants throughout the primers The Pilgrim and the Volunteer.
The first mayor of the town of Caravaca has expressed its appreciation to the city of Cartagena for the interest and the cooperation by supporting this initiative cultural exchange and economic development.
