The Ministry of Economy and Finance will direct the tax benefit program
The government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, has seen the establishment of the Consortium Caravaca Jubilee 2010, as a member of the Executive Committee.
With this program, the Government of Spain is firmly committed to promote tourism in this town, through the Finance Act this year by approving the Tax Benefits for the event Caravaca Jubilee 2010, as well as consideration of event exceptional public interest.
The constitution of the Consortium in the day today is the first step to begin to enjoy the economic benefits of the program of tax benefits and proper certification of expenditure and investments made to the objectives and plans of the same.
Tovar Gonzalez recalled that consideration of Caravaca Jubilee 2010 as an event of exceptional public interest, provided an initiative that reflects the interest of the Government of Spain in support, also through fiscal measures, this event is so important to Caravaca.
He has also said that tax incentives applicable to Caravaca Jubilee 2010 are established in Law 49/2002, and shall consist of tax deductions for certain investments and expenses in compliance with plans and programs established by the consortium regarding the acquisition of items new plant and equipment, rehabilitation of buildings that contribute to make the physical space concerned and the implementation of promotional and advertising expenses for use in the dissemination of this event.
Finally, Gonzalez Tovar added that the implementation of tax benefits Caravaca Jubilee 2010 is the result of intensive work carried out by members of the Socialist Group in Murcia in the Congress of Deputies, who held meetings with relevant Secretary of State for Finance and later achieved the necessary consensus for final approval in Parliament "and regretted that some members of the PP in Murcia who had initially expressed support, eventually voted against the PGE and therefore, this amendment.
Tax Benefits
The tax incentives are established in Law 49/2002, and include the deduction of 15 percent of the gross tax on corporation tax or personal income tax and investment expenses in compliance with the plans and programs drawn up by the Consortium on:
The acquisition of new tangible fixed assets
The rehabilitation of buildings that contribute to enhancing the urban space of the area affected by the Jubilee 2010 Program Caravaca.
Carrying out propaganda and advertising costs for use in the dissemination of this event.
When the content relates in an essential way to the disclosure of Caravaca Jubilee 2010, the base of the deduction will be 100 per cent of the investment.
When promoting the event is included in other advertising the basis of the deduction is 25 percent of the investment.
