The works for the proposed expansion and remodeling of the Classroom of the nature of the sources of the Marquis has already started and are expected to be completed in approximately two months.
The planned measures, funded by the Directorate General of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity with 65,000 euros, include in the extension of the multipurpose room and construction of toilets and stores.
The Councillor for Environment, Antonia Maria Alvarez, recalled that this action must be added the environmental soundness and landscape restoration, valued at 250,000 euros and included within the Local Investment Fund and the project's infrastructure endowment Works Plan and services funded with 139,084 Euros.
"These three actions, whose total cost is around € 450,000, will contribute to improve in the coming months the landscape and tourist value of this place so dear to all caravaqueños" added Alvarez Jorquera.
Among the objectives pursued with the Hall of Nature is to contribute to the development of positive behaviors and attitudes aimed at conserving the environment, and to offer schools a fun and entertaining experience based on coexistence and personal development.
During the visit to classroom study Caravaca users through workshops and guided tours of the three ecosystems that characterize the landscape of Las Fuentes del Marqués: water system, Mediterranean forest and agricultural land.
Currently the Region of Murcia has a total of 13 classrooms of nature.
