Caravaca Mayor, accompanied by representatives of the Sports Association Al-Mudayna Emilio Pérez and Julio Robles, today introduced the fourth edition of Al-Mudayna Alpine Marathon to meet this weekend in the hamlet of La Almudema caravaqueña about 800 athletes from different Spanish provinces and several foreign countries.
The marathon, as stated by the mayor, has become a big party and one of the sporting events, social and tourist highlights of the municipality.
The test will be accompanied by activities which take place on Saturday and Sunday as a gourmet market, a fair sport, children's activities, tours, musical performances and a talk by the champions of Spain and European Mountain Running Raúl García Castan.
The marathon, which begins on Sunday at 9.30 am with staggered starting in the modes of walking, running and mountain biking, cross a few of the most picturesque places in the Region of Murcia, specifically the Sierra de las Cabras and environment Quípar River valley.
"This is a sinuous paths, trails, ravines and fields, which will bring new heights of mountains and a positive drop of 1,900 meters, with the added attraction for the source of history and culture of archaeological places are in the tour, "said one of the organizers, Emilio Pérez.
