An investment of 232,000 euros will be held before year-end packaging and restoration of the slopes of the Castillo de Caravaca de la Cruz.
The project is funded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water and the Obra Social de La Caixa, under a collaboration agreement signed by both entities.
The various actions envisaged have been submitted today by the director general of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity, Pablo Fernández, accompanied by the mayor of Caravaca, Domingo Aranda, and the head of institutional relations at La Caixa in Murcia, José Antonio Meseguer.
Pablo Fernández has highlighted the jobs will be created with this work through the employment of people with disabilities and risk of social exclusion.
The project preparation and reforestation of green areas of the couch del Castillo de Caravaca de la Cruz will allow environmental improvement and landscaping of the environment, protection from erosion and fire risk reduction by building walls and placing fixing mesh terrain and improved tree stand structure.
It also made cleaning up debris, weeds and stones, and carried out the restoration plant the slopes with native species such as broom, lavender, rosemary and honeysuckle.
