The Government of Spain has already paid to 21 municipalities in the region, 55.2 M € for the implementation of 204 projects of the Local Investment Fund that will create 4,224 direct jobs
The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, today announced the 26 projects to be carried out in the town of Caravaca de la Cruz from the Local Investment Fund, which will involve a total investment of 4,546,475 euros, as well as creation of 190 jobs.
González Tovar noted that these actions have been selected by the municipal government team due to their needs, while the Government of Spain has agreed to finance in full if it satisfies the requirement of creating jobs.
For the type of work performed, the 26 projects are distributed as follows: 4 of sustainable mobility and road safety improvement, 1 removal of architectural barriers, 14 facilities and infrastructure of basic services, environmental protection 1 environment, urban waste management and energy efficiency, 1 municipal heritage conservation and cultural heritage and 5 in buildings and social facilities, health, funeral, educational, cultural and sporting
The Government delegate pointed out that among the projects to be undertaken in the town of Caravaca de la Cruz from the Local Investment Fund, they are of very different nature and economic value, emerging as the biggest investment the following:
- Fitting-out spaces, greening, beautification and tracing the route of the gardens, 593,727.57 euros.
- Improvements to the sports complex "El Salvador" (new changing rooms and access), 562,899.09 euros.
- Renewal of networks and infrastructure (water, sewer, street lighting, irrigation, and signaling strong horizontal and vertical), 537,259.73 euros.
- Renovation of drinking water networks in the High Street and Quarries, Barranda, 504,531.53 euros.
- Drainage in the industrial area of Santa Ines, 328,833.55 euros.
- Matching environmental and landscape restoration of the site Fuentes del Marqués, 250,000 euros.
- Renewal of street lighting in the neighborhood of Calvary, 223,442.71 euros.
Tovar Gonzalez recalled that the Delegation of the Government approved in the first instance the various projects submitted by the 45 municipalities of the Region, and in a second and final all of them were ratified by the Ministry of Public Administration.
After that, added the delegate of the Government, municipalities must put up for tender the works over the next month to receive the MAP notification of project approval.
The Government of Spain, after receiving the initial report of the work which will identify the company that will take place, the City will credit 70 percent of that, while the remaining 30% will be transferred upon completion certification of the finished work.
Finally, Gonzalez Tovar noted that, today, the Ministry of Public Administration and transferred to 21 municipalities in the Region of Murcia, 70% of the total of 204 projects amounting to 55.2 M €.
These projects will generate more jobs than originally planned, since many municipalities have seen an improvement in the award value of the works to create jobs.
In fact, the 204 projects that already have this funding will create 4,224 direct jobs.
With regard to the town of Caravaca de la Cruz, two projects have received the funds, the connection of the general drainage network Avenida Miguel Espinosa and Road Safety Works at Ctra MU-702, amounting of 77,500 euros.
