The Minister of Economy and Finance, Inmaculada García, has been officially named today herald of the coming holiday of La Vera Cruz de Caravaca, to be held in late April 2009.
This was communicated to the Elder of the Brotherhood of the Holy Vera Cruz, Jose Luis Castillo, and the mayor of Sunday Aranda, who also presents her with a cross of Caravaca, a book about the cries of the parties and another on posters advertising them.
Inmaculada Garcia will be the first woman who preaches these celebrations in the history of the municipality.
"The decision was taken unanimously by the Committee on Celebration, as it is a person that many feelings tied Caravaca long," said Castillo.
