The projects of the Works and Services Plan (POS) in 2008 were awarded in the last regular meeting of the Local Government Board.
This plan includes actions to improve and paving both in the urban districts and in the amount of 541,752 euros.
The works to be implemented over the coming months are:
"Improving the environment firmly on the couch of the Basilica-Santuario de la Vera Cruz for an amount of the award of 122,800 euros.
-Paving and infrastructure in the street theater with an award amount of 77,532 euros.
-Paving and infrastructure in College Street with a 67,492 award amount.
-Paving section III in the Rue de la Cruz in the amount of the award of 51,684 euros.
"Planning and urban improvements on Calle La Rambla in the hamlet of El Moral in the amount of the award of 85,996 euros.
-Renewal of street lighting in the village of Singla (College Street and adjacent) in the amount of the award of 92,499 euros.
-Provision and Improvement of infrastructure in Constitution Street Barranda award an amount of 43,749 euros.
It should be stressed that the competitive recruitment process has led to savings of 93,582 euros and improvements in the projects proposed by the successful tenderers.
As prescribed in the new Act on public sector contracts, the final award will be held within 15 working days from the initial award.
In this regard, the council Works and Services, Juan Pedro Sánchez, said that the actions planned in the urban area are aimed at improving emblematic areas of the city, traveled and visited daily by tourists and pilgrims to be close to the most representative monuments.
"The Works and Services Plan this year focuses on the historical and actions required for some of our parishes," he noted.
