During the month of September is open enrollment period for the third edition of Al-Mudayna Alpine Marathon to be held on Oct. 4 in the hamlet of La Almudema.
Entries can be formalized in the Department of Sports, located in Hall Juan Antonio Corbalan, or through the website www.al-mudayna.com.
The Al-Mudayna Alpine Marathon is a sports festival that takes place in the framework in the Sierra de las Cabras and the environment Quípar River valley.
The test and parallel activities are organized by the city of Caravaca de la Cruz and Al-Mudayna Sports Association in collaboration with the Directorate General of Sports in the Region of Murcia, the regional sports federations and mountain biking and a good number partner firms.
The marathon will be divided into three types that can be made walking, running or cycling.
Moreover, in order to give more options to athletes, it offers four different competitions:
Marathon footrace
MTB Marathon
Run Half Marathon Walking
½ Marathon footrace
The type of test format, with output in stages, allows that, throughout the course, participants mingle and live together a unique experience, different from the common marathons.
Registration includes medical and health care services as well as shower, massage, supplies, etc.
Public schools, Social Hall and The Almudema Fairs and Sales Cavila Samples will be available for free accommodation for participants.
The Al-Mudayna Alpine Marathon is not just a sporting event is also a social gathering that includes numerous parallel activities such as sports conferences, tours, competitions, fairs, sporting and gastronomic events in goal line and a farewell party.
The specific program of activities will be announced at a press conference in the days before the marathon.
This test, due to the large number of participants and the high number of people who come to witness it, has become the most important sporting event of the municipality in terms of number of participants and the only marathon in the Region of Murcia.
