Care Program Immigrant Services Association of the Northwest and the Department of Women, Family and Social Welfare of the City of Caravaca been closed summer school to children from families with a precarious economic situation.
During the months of July and August a group of volunteers has been responsible for serving about 30 children through school-building activities, group dynamics and popular games in the San Francisco public school.
The school has completed work on co-education by the agent of Equality of the City of Caravaca, Antonia M ª Muñoz, and intercultural and health education conducted by the head of the School of Summer, M ª Carmen Azorín.
Since the Commonwealth of Social Services explained that the main objective of this activity is that "the children spend the least amount of time alone at home and also to enjoy any other child in this time of summer."
"We appreciate the great social work by volunteers Elena Rodríguez Pérez, Rocío Rodríguez Pérez, María Rosa Silvestre, Maria Torres Rosa, Erika Justiniano, Manolo Gómez Ruiz, Francisco Javier, Maria Carmen and Rene," said the responsibility for school .
They also wanted to make a call for cooperation on activities such as this, based on volunteerism and social action.
