The Department of Culture has announced plans to hold a series of exhibitions to raise awareness among caravaqueños the production of sculptures and paintings of Martinez Torres, as well as his art collection consists of a large number of pieces, some of them signed by renowned artists of the twentieth century.
In this first exhibition, entitled 'Retrospective', we have included the most characteristic works of Antonio Martinez Torres, as collages, acrylics and sculptures in iron, steel and wood and abstract minimalist style.
These pieces will be admired in the old Society of Jesus during the month of September.
After thirty-six years without exhibiting in his hometown, Antonio Martínez brings his art to Caravaca again but this time to leave here forever, thus bequeathing a considerable heritage of contemporary art to the delight of his countrymen.
