The wind quintet 'Mediterranean Wind Ensemble' a concert this Sunday, February 14, at 19.00, in the sacristy of the former Jesuit, free entry.
The youth in the Region of Murcia and Alicante are part of this group will perform works by Ravel, Ibert and Ligeti.
'Mediterranean Wind Ensemble' is a newly established training whose components share the concern and love of chamber music.
His first performance was at the VIII Chamber Music Competition "Villa de Cox", where they picked up the second prize.
the group currently meets regularly to consolidate a varied repertoire and participate in various projects.
During his brief but intense musical career, they have collaborated with various orchestras, such as Murcia, Elche City, City of Granada and youth orchestras in the region of Murcia and Alicante, among others.
Three of its components come from an earlier group created at the Conservatory of Music of Murcia, called "Janacek Wind Ensemble".
With the addition of the flute and horn, "Mediterranean Wind Ensemble" seeks to highlight both the most representative as the least played for wind quintet repertoire.
The group consists of Maria Angeles Marin Martinez-Abarca (flute), Marta Perales Mora (oboe), Mª Carmen Pérez Rocamora (clarinet), Azucena Rios Mine (bassoon) and Alma García Gil (horn).
