The City of Caravaca de la Cruz and the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia have held a meeting to promote the Master Plan of the Way of the Cross of Caravaca.
The meeting was chaired by the mayor, José Moreno, and the regional director of that agency, Manuel Fernandez Delgado, who have stressed the need for collaboration and coordination between the government, the Confraternity of the Blessed and Vera Cruz, as well as private entities to achieve the objectives set for the forthcoming Jubilee event.
Another point addressed during the meeting was related to tax exemptions included in the State Budget, for companies that conduct aimed at promoting and spreading the Jubilee Year 2017 investments.
"Define how you will put the program of tax relief is a priority at the moment, as we thought forthcoming Jubilee must purchase a different from previous editions scale and for this it is necessary to have the private partnership by a mechanism which is mutually beneficial for both Caravaca and the region as investment firms themselves, "said Jose Moreno.
The director of the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia added that this meeting is a continuation of the held in the framework of the last edition of FITUR, where both the City Council and the Autonomous Region exchanged views with specialized consultants to implement the above master plan.
According to Fernandez Delgado, "the Holy Year 2017 is a totally unifying project, which will invigorate the tourism sector, not only in Caravaca de la Cruz but in the whole region".
