The Youth Council of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz has launched the program "Healthy Travel, an initiative now in its tenth edition and is part of the actions contained in the Municipal Plan to Combat Drug Addiction.
The 46 young people taking part this year were welcomed by the mayor of Youth and Education, Esther Poveda, and the physician in charge of coordinating it, Sandro Guachi.
This program runs until next June, combining various talks and workshops with which aims to instill healthy habits and prevent drug use.
From the municipal area of ​​youth, emphasize that this project gets the active participation of young people who are committed to attend activities and non-smoking or not start in consumption during the months-long program.
The name 'Healthy Travel' answers how to motivate and reward young people, since those who reach the finals participate in a trip weekend with his teammates and also become part of a draw to participate in the youth meeting is held every summer in a European country.
The 'Healthy Travel' is coordinated with the physician Northwest Regional Hospital, Sandro Guachi, together with technicians of the Department of Youth.
