The new TAC would provide a more efficient service to some 70,000 residents of the Northwest Region
The Municipal People Caravaca has filed a motion for debate in Parliament next October 26 to urge the regional government through the Ministry of Health to initiate the appropriate administrative procedure for the purchase and supply of a new team Computed Tomography (CT) for the Northwest Regional Hospital.
A TAC can be framed within the group of high-tech gadgets, providing highly accurate images that enable a diagnosis and identify the pathological processes and determine what happens to a patient and is not seen in conventional radiology.
This technique instead of sending a single ray beam through the body as in a normal radiograph, sends many beams simultaneously from different angles, which are analyzed using a computer.
Among the advantages of this technique are that the images are accurate, noninvasive and do not cause pain, allowing more precise and accurate diagnosis within a short period of time, the health professional practitioner can make decisions immediately.
"The main reason for this request is the technological obsolescence of the current TAC, which translates into a series of delays in carrying out the tests to patients when it is broken due to the replacement of its parts," said the spokesman the Popular Party, Jose Francisco Garcia.
This new device, with higher performance than today, would provide service to about 26,000 users Caravaca de la Cruz and its districts and almost 70,000 users across the Northwest Region.
