The Department of Education of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz gave the Extraordinary Prizes of Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Specialised Education, for the academic year 2014/2015.

In all, twelve prizes were awarded, one for each mode of study.

The event was held at the House of Culture "Emilio Sáez," with the intervention of the mayor, José Moreno;

the mayor of Education, Esther Poveda;

and the director of the Institute of High John of the Cross, Isidro de la Ossa.

The delivery was sheltered by members of the local education community, through associations of parents, teachers and student representatives.

The young Manuel Alvarez Marin, a student of the Conservatory of Music awarded in the category of Special Education System, was commissioned to liven up the event with the interpretation of two piano pieces.

Both the mayor and the city council responsible for the area of ​​education they noted that these awards are intended to recognize academic excellence, stimulate interest in the study and publicly reward the students for their perseverance, effort and performance.

In this second round of awards the path of Juan Pedro Marin Perez (Bachelor of Science and Technology) was recognized;

David López Segura (Bachelor of Science Research and Technology);

Gines Garcia Alvarez (School of Humanities and Social Sciences);

Dulce Maria Fernandez Campos (guitar studies);

Manuel Alvarez Marín (studying piano);

José Manuel Corbalan Giménez (Higher grade training cycle of Administration and Finance);

Carlos Sanchez Martinez (Higher grade training cycle Application Development platform);

Maria Encarnacion Lopez Reinón (Middle grade training cycle Care Nursing Assistants);

Andres Sanchez Duran (Middle grade training cycle Automobile Electromechanical);

Andreia Filipa Tomas da Costa (formative cycle of average degree of Administrative Management) and Jesus Lopez Corbalan (formative cycle of average degree of Microcomputer Systems and Networks).

In the competition involved students, living in the city Caravaca de la Cruz, who have completed their studies in any of the educational, public or private schools, the, during 2014/2015 municipality.

The winner of each category received a diploma and a cash prize of 250 euros.

A selection board rated the best academic record, with the average grade of the file.

The court was made up of four directors of the institutes of Secondary Education of the municipality and the Conservatory of Music in Caravaca de la Cruz, plus an attached to the Department of Education and the City administration which acts as official secretary.
