Lorca presides over the closing of the Jubilee Year in Caravaca Teresian]

"Santa Teresa is an exceptional woman, a nun who radiates around himself the flame of human vitality and spiritual dynamics."

Thus began the Bishop of Cartagena yesterday his homily at the closing of the Jubilee Year diocesan Teresian held on the occasion of the V Centenary of the Birth of Saint Teresa of Jesus.

The celebration, which took place in the monastery church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Discalced Carmelite Fathers of Caravaca, attended by the Vicar of area, as well as pastors and priests the sons of the people, who concelebrated with the Carmelites.

. Bishop Lorca explained that Santa Teresa wisdom comes from his ascetic discipline and contemplative meditation, but especially the Spirit: "The knowledge of God's heart that had Santa Teresa was the work of the extraordinary action of the Holy Spirit."

The prior of the Discalced Carmelites, Fr Pascual Gil Almela, caravaqueños thanked all the work and enthusiasm during the Year Teresian and said that "the mystics always together."

The celebration of the Teresian Jubilee Year has been lived intensely in the three communities that Carmel is in the Diocese: the community of San Jose de las Madres Valdelentisco Discalced Carmelites (Santa Teresa founded in Caravaca in 1576);

The community of Discalced Carmelite Mothers Incarnation Algezares (founded 1751);

and the community of the Carmelite Fathers of Caravaca de la Cruz (foundation of John of the Cross in 1587).

Although officially, was concluded yesterday this special year of grace in Caravaca end of the activities of the V Centenario on Saturday, with the procession of the image of Santa Teresa from the Carmelite church to the former convent of San José Carmelite mothers, 20:15, and subsequent fireworks in which 500 rockets will be fired by the 500-year celebration.

A solidarity rockets were sold to benefit Caritas.
