The Mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, Jose Moreno, and the councilman of Social Services, Maria Jose Soria, met this morning with the delegate in the Northwest Region of the Association of Rare Diseases D'Genes, Pascual Donate.
During the meeting, the mayor handed him the support of the City caravaqueño for the implementation of initiatives to support the association and contribute to raising awareness about the lack of information on rare diseases suffering patients and their families.
The nonprofit entity D'Genes undertakes projects to improve the quality and life expectancy of patients;
launches actions to prevent social isolation and conducts outreach to the characteristics and peculiarities of diseases classified as rare.
The delegation of the Association for the Northwest Region is located the House of Culture of Cehegín, with opening hours from Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 to 13:30 hours.
