The jury choosing the identifying logo of the Holy Year 2017 is selected as the winning work presented under the pseudonym "Calaricos" that once opened the escrow has proved caravaqueño Picon Raul Gimenez.
The contest have attended a total of fifty works, presented graphic designers from across the country.
It is for this reason that the Councillor for Tourism, Gloria Gomez wanted to thank "the good reception of this initiative, emphasizing the high level of the works presented."
The mayor also recalled that the winning logo will be publicly presented this Saturday, October 3rd, at the esplanade of the Castle, during a concert by the pianist and composer Abdon Alcaraz Murcia, at 20.30.
The jury, which has held several meetings to discuss the decision, was chaired by the mayor, Jose Moreno, and formed by the Councillor for Culture, Oscar Martinez;
the Councillor for Tourism, Gloria Gomez, the older sister of the Brotherhood of Vera Cruz, Elisa Giménez-Giron;
the head of the municipal department of Tourism, Maria Carmen Robles;
the degree in Fine Arts and a member of the Corporation Manuel Sanchez and the delegate of the Brotherhood for the Holy Year 2017, José Luis Robles.
According to the rules governing this call, the specific objective was to design a corporate logo, created on the basis of existing, to identify and commemorate the celebration of the Jubilee of 2017. The author of the selected work will be awarded the amount of 500 euros and a diploma.
The award of the prize involves the transfer of the work and full powers to the City of Caravaca de la Cruz for reproduction and dissemination.
