The Asso Festival this weekend is celebrated in La Encarnacion with numerous cultural, recreational and equestrian (07/07/2015)

The festival contributes to the dissemination of valuable archaeological and natural heritage of this district caravaqueña

History, popular traditions, equestrian, cultural and recreational activities come together this weekend, 11 and 12 July in the caravaqueña hamlet of La Encarnación, with the celebration of the second edition of "Asso Festival".

The event was presented by the mayor, Jose Moreno, accompanied by the Councillor for Culture and Celebrations, Oscar Martinez;

the headman Antonio Robles, and members of the organizing committee of the "Asso Festival" Tomas de la Cerda, Cristobal Aguilar, Andres Lopez and Juan Reina.

The mayor has called for participation in scheduled activities, "because it is a different festival, with an innovative and multidisciplinary, born with vocation of continuity and as a catalyst for this important enclave of our municipality."

On behalf of all the people who are part of the organization, Tomas de la Cerda stressed that the ultimate goal of this initiative is to contribute to the dissemination and promotion of culture and valuable archaeological heritage that treasures the Incarnation, through activities that they attract people and striking result.

One of the main new feature this year is the Roman Dinner, held on Saturday at 22.00.

Attendees should go with the typical attire of this historic stage, although there is also the possibility that it facilitates the organization costume.

But the program will start on Saturday morning with the equestrian route, about two hours from the old train station in Caravaca to the chapel of the Incarnation.
