The City of Caravaca de la Cruz and Ecoembes, the organization that cares for the environment through recycling and eco-design of household packaging in Spain, have launched a new awareness campaign aimed at communicating to the public the importance have their collaboration in packaging recycling and environmental care.

"This campaign, which starts tomorrow and runs until April 30, was implemented with the intention to show the neighbors that their role is key in recycling containers and building a sustainable future," announced the mayor of the Environment, Maria Antonia Alvarez, who pointed out that this action is funded entirely by Ecoembes with the amount of 30,000 euros.

"The City Council will enable new points scattered around the city to improve the separate collection at source, while you are performing a reorganization of the areas in the town and the districts containers. For example, new zones will be enabled in the neighborhood of Extremadura with the intention of reducing the amount of waste deposited incorrectly in the recycling containers, "reported the mayor in charge of the area of ​​Urban Development, Salvador Gómez.

Currently, caravaqueños have available 200 containers in which to place the containers for recycling.

Of these, 146 are yellow (for plastic, metal and vigor) and 54 blue (cartons and paper).
