The Federation of Associations of Parents of Caravaca (AUPA) in collaboration with the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, has launched the first "Children's Reading Club", which have enrolled 211 students, aged between 6 and 12 years.
"We want to stress, according to the Councillor for Education, Carmen Ruiz Mulero- the excellent reception that this activity has had among parents and involvement of the students themselves, surpassing all expectations of participation, which motivates us to continue working with AUPA in future editions of this initiative and other extracurricular educational "program.
The "Children's Reading Club" whose main objective is to improve the reading habits of children of school age through play and activities appropriate to their age.
The work methodology focuses on enhancing the understanding and creativity so that students find reading a motivational and personal enjoyment element, which results in improved school performance.
The workshop, taught by pedagogues Carmen Real Chico Alvarez and Carmen Carlini is divided into blocks of content as interpreted reading, reading, reading comment, use and enjoyment of the library and theater.
