The mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, Domingo Aranda, and President of the Proyecto Hombre Foundation, Tomás Zamora, today signed a cooperation agreement to continue and strengthen prevention programs and drug rehabilitation and reintegration of drug addicts who are held in the town.
"Since 2006 the City of Caravaca established partnerships with Proyecto Hombre, have been very successful, since it has provided effective care to nearly 300 people, including users and their families", as explained Domingo Aranda after renewal of the agreement.
In order to prevent displacement of users Proyecto Hombre headquarters in Murcia, Caravaca de la Cruz outpatient program, aimed at persons who have addiction problems, still retain a stable personal and family situation develops.
Also working with the families of users to provide them with tools to help them cope with greater guarantees treatment.
"We can and must serve only the person who has the problem of addiction, but also their immediate environment, which lives, bears and suffers a situation that does not know how to deal with and is a familiar imbalance" he detailed the director of Proyecto Hombre, Asunción Santos.
For its part, the Councillor for Social Welfare, Carmen Ruiz, has reported that last year 2014 to 42 users, of which 23 started a group treatment program, and 33 families were assisted.
In parallel, the City of Caravaca and Proyecto Hombre carry out preventive actions in education and other individualized attention to adolescents who have the use of a substance is initiated.
The headquarters of Project Man in Caravaca de la Cruz is located at the Center for Employment and Training, in the street Diego Cortez.
