Caritas has received a donation of 5,250 euros from the offices of the Caixa in Caravaca de la Cruz.
The donation was picked up yesterday presidents of local branches in a ceremony attended by the Councillor for Social Development in the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, Carmen Ruiz Mulero.
The mayor wanted to thank this important collaboration, as well as all the support you are receiving these prior to Christmas by companies and collective caravaqueños while wanted to remember "the important altruistic work 365 days a year played by Caritas volunteers for the needy ".
The event was attended by the directors of "la Caixa" in Caravaca, Gabarron Francisco and Pedro Moreno, together with the team of the two offices of an entity based in the town.
The directors explained that the company has maintained its Social Work budget for 2014 at 500 million euros, the same amount budgeted in the preceding six years.
In this regard, 67% of the budget was allocated to the development of social and welfare programs.
In 2013, more than 8.7 million people participated and benefited from the 42,546-driven activities Social "la Caixa" Foundation.
