Caravaca Carmelites celebrate the Teresian week with an exhibition and talks (20/10/2014)

Today the Teresian Week, organized by the Community of Discalced Carmelite Fathers in collaboration with the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, V to mark the centenary of the birth of St. Teresa of Jesus begins.

From 20 to 26 October from 10.30 to 21.00 hours, remain open an exhibition entitled "Teresa, spiritual teacher".

The exhibition, installed in the side chapel of the church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, consisting of 20 panels concerning the life and work of Santa Teresa.

Moreover, within that week Teresian Carmelite religious José Carlos Gimeno, Writing doctor, professor and convent of Valencia, will offer three lectures on the Teresian works "The Book of Life", "Way of Perfection" and "Mansions".

Talks will take place on Friday, October 24, at 20.15 hours on 25 th October at 10.30 and 12.30 hours.

Moreover, the Department of Tourism of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz offer today and throughout the year Teresian tours of the church and convent of San José visits.

The City of Caravaca de la Cruz and the Discalced Carmelites have signed a cooperation agreement that will allow, among other things, opening each morning of the Carmelite church, temple named Jubilee by the Diocese of Cartagena during the Teresian Year.
