All Dioceses of Spain celebrated today the start of the Jubilee Year by Pope granted Teresian Francisco to celebrate the V Centenary of the Birth of St. Teresa of Avila.

A special year of grace which starts today Wednesday, October 15, feast of St. Teresa of Jesus, and ending on October 15, 2015.

Diocesan Jubilee Year Teresian opening will take place this afternoon at 19:30 pm at the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel convent of Discalced Carmelite Fathers of Caravaca de la Cruz, and will be chaired by the Bishop of Cartagena, Bishop . José Manuel Lorca Planes.

By decree of Bishop this year may gain plenary indulgences in four churches in the Diocese: Holy Cathedral Church;

the church of the convent of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Discalced Carmelite Fathers of Caravaca de la Cruz;

Church of the Monastery of the Incarnation, of the Discalced Carmelite Mothers Algezares (Murcia);

and the church of the Monastery of St. Joseph Carmelite Nuns of Mother Tallante (Cartagena).

According to the Decree of the Apostolic Penitentiary, the faithful will profit from the Plenary Indulgence if they visit as a pilgrimage of the Jubilee Churches established and there attending some sacred rite, or at least pray before a statue of Santa Teresa, ending this prayer with the Lord's Prayer, the Creed and invoking the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Teresa of Jesus.

Also, the elderly, disabled or affected by a serious illness may benefit from the Plenary Indulgence if, repenting of their sins and with purpose made as soon as possible the three usual conditions (sacramental Confession, Eucharistic Communion and prayer for the intentions of the Pope) , pray before a statue of St. Teresa of Jesus, are spiritually united with the Jubilee celebrations and pilgrimages, and pray the Our Father and the Creed in their home or place to stay because of the impairment.
