From 10 to 27 May, the Plaza de San Juan de la Cruz hosts the Book Fair Old and Used, which annually organizes the Culture Department of the City of Caravaca, through the Municipal Library, in collaboration with Ramon Urbano Books.

The opening hours will be from 11 to 14 and from 17 to 20 hours.

"This year's fair is accompanied by meetings with nine authors who present us their latest work and sign copies of his works in events taking place both at the fair itself and the old Society of Jesus," as reported by the councilor responsible for directing the department of Culture, Maria Cruz Perez, while stressed is a priority of the Municipal Library with public activities support to emerging writers and the authors of our region.

The poet and writer Pedro López Fernández will be responsible for opening the cycle of meetings with author signatures and this Saturday, May 10.

Pedro López, of the neighboring town of Cehegín, signed at the fair, from 11 am, copies of his first novel, entitled "Judge Cuernavaca."

Throughout the month of May, others participate in the Book Fair Caravaca de la Cruz, in them: María José Sevilla (May 14, 20 pm in the vestry of the Church of the Company);

Juan José López (May 17, 11 pm in the show);

Antonio Galera (May 20, 20 pm in the vestry of the Church of the Company), Juan Gil, Mariangeles Ibernon and Tomas Bravo (May 23, 20 pm in the vestry of the Church of the Company) and Cayetana Martínez Immaculate and Caravaca (May 24, at 11 am, at the fair).

"Our goal, according to statements by the Councillor for Culture, is that the book fair, which has a long history in our town, is accompanied by activities promoting reading and cultural enrichment."

In addition to the activities planned in the framework of the Book Fair, throughout the year the Municipal Library Caravaca conducts activities such as the commemoration of the International Day of the Book, book clubs, workshops, storytelling or monthly meetings with authors.
