The Civil Guard breaks in Caravaca de la Cruz family clan dedicated to extortion (27/12/2013)

They selected, seduced and had sex with victims to blackmail

It is possible that the group dismantled committed more crimes of this type

The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed the 'GARCA' operation, aimed at clarifying the crime of extortion allegedly committed in the person of a neighbor of Caravaca de la Cruz, which has resulted in the dismantling of a criminal group based in the town and formed by four people who were engaged in this criminal activity.

The four arrested, who were arrested in the act, were part of a 'family clan' dedicated to the selection of the victims and the subsequent execution of the related blackmail favors of a sexual nature.

The investigation began late last November, when agents of public safety prevention of Caravaca de la Cruz detected committing a crime of extortion to a local resident.

The researchers found committing this serious criminal act and managed to expose their illicit form of action, and the identity of the members of the criminal group was behind the crime under investigation.

Organized and hierarchical structure

The alleged perpetrators of extortion were four citizens of Romanian origin and members of the same family settled in Caravaca de la Cruz.

They also had well defined roles to participate with an organized and hierarchical structure.

His criminal activity began with the selection of their next victim, usually a middle-aged man and solvency.

Subsequently, a member of the band, young and handsome, flirted with the victim, seduced and offered consensual sex without claiming anything back.

If the victim agreed to the offer, both were in the home of the young, where they had sex previously agreed.

At the moment when the couple was performing the sexual act, the room broke into the family of the girl to take pictures and record videos of the scene, which was later used to blackmail the victim.

In this case, members of the clan claimed 20,000 euros to the victim, warning that if not discreetly gave so much, would be denounced by rape and inform their family and social environment.

Once obtained all necessary evidence, the Meritorious established a complex and discrete device to surprise the suspects during the development of extortion, which was solved with the arrest of four-handed band members, one man and three women Romanian-born aged 19 and 52, on suspicion of extortion.

Those arrested and the proceedings have been brought before the Court of Instruction No. 1 of Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia).

The researchers did not rule out that the detainees have now committed more crimes of this type, so the cooperation of the public that can provide new insights into this type of crime is requested.
