The City of Caravaca de la Cruz and the Cultural Association of the Holy Cross Crusaders have signed a collaboration agreement for the maintenance of the hostel Almudema and implementation of initiatives to promote and boost tourism in the municipality.
The agreement contains a number of commitments from caravaqueña association, which include scheduling leisure activities in natural and guided tours, as the "Route of the castles and shrines" or the "Route of the Parties Caravaca ".
They shall, in addition, contact with youth associations and other groups to propose pilgrimages and visits to the city.
Also, members of the association assume the management and development of www.fiestasdecaravaca.com website as a tool to promote the festivities, religious tourism and other tourism resources of the municipality.
The City Council, meanwhile, gives the hostel facilities located in the hamlet of La Almudema, with catering, restaurant and accommodation.
The hostel can accommodate 82 people, is arranged over two floors, with a ground floor room for groups of 22 people, 10 rooms on the top floor, kitchen, dining room and reception.
The property is adapted to the use of renewable energy through the installation of solar panels on the roof and meets the conditions of accessibility for people with disabilities.
The rural hostel Almudema pilgrims is specially designed for sports enthusiasts and people connected to nature.
The Crusaders of Vera Cruz is a nonprofit association formed by a group of young caravaqueños.
Among the goals of its charter is spreading the cult of Vera Cruz and local history through the promotion of monuments, landscapes and traditions.
