The Full Council of Caravaca de la Cruz held last night approved regulations governing the composition and operation of the Local Council of Employment and Economic Development.
This body will have among its priorities the promotion of business, finding new investments and drive initiatives to generate employment in the municipality.
The proposed establishment of the Local Council of Employment and Economic Development was endorsed by all municipal political parties, to be represented on the advisory body with employers, unions and associations, among others.
During the debate, the mayor, Domingo Aranda, explained that "in recent years the City Council meetings are convened to address sectoral issues related to employment and economic status, but it is a step further, seeking active participation in structured body and collective institutions caravaqueña society ".
Moreover, the House also unanimously approved the Municipal Plan for the Prevention of absenteeism and drop presented by the Department of Education.
The plan contains a number of objectives, action areas, prevention measures and a protocol of actions and the establishment of the Bureau of Local Truancy with the involvement of all actors that are part of the school community.
The plenary session also gave the green light to several issues of urban character, such as a change regarding alignments of privately owned land in the industrial estate of Cavila or initial approval of the amendment to General Plan concerning the place of Aguzaderas Plains.
