The writer James Delgado has presented his novel "The Heart of the Cross" in Caravaca de la Cruz, accompanied by the mayor, Domingo Aranda, and director of the publishing Tres Fronteras, Jose Antonio Bascuñana.
The presentation of this work, the award-winning novel "Caravaca, Holy City," is part of the events planned by the Department of Culture of the City of Caravaca connection with the Book Fair.
The writer Murcia Santiago Delgado won the first prize of the contest "Caravaca, Holy City," funded by Fund and organized by the Mediterranean region and the University of Murcia to promote the Camino de la Vera Cruz.
His work, entitled "The Heart of the Cross" tells the story of a German pilgrim who came to Jerusalem in fulfillment of a promise and there was given the task of carrying the holy relic that completes the chain of Vera Cruz in Caravaca.
The contest were submitted from 64 original not only in Spain but also from Ecuador, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela and the United States and other countries.
The jury for the prize fail was chaired by Professor of the University of Murcia Francisco Florit, and it also formed part of the professors of this institution Francisco Javier Díez de Revenga and Fernando Castillo, along with the official chronicler of Caravaca, José Melgares Antonio.
