Employment County Council held a meeting to address several points of interest include the analysis of labor market trends, showing the unemployment data and the current economic and employment structure of the municipalities in the Northwest Region.

Also during the meeting, held yesterday at the City of Calasparra, the Director of Employment and Training Service (SEF), Ginés Martínez, announced the completion of a report on opportunities, ideas and actions applied to the tourism sector, through surveys and interviews citizens and talks to the agents of the commercial, hospitality and tourism in the five municipalities in the Northwest.

This study will identify further measures to support the SEF-ups and continue to invest in training of workers employed and unemployed.

Also during the meeting announced the commitment of the SEF to launch new calls for employment workshops and public institutional use modules for municipalities.

In the 2009-2011 period have been invested in the five boroughs over 11.5 million in employment promotion programs such as workshops, maintaining local employment centers, aid for self-employment projects for reconciling work and family life and hiring of the disabled, among other programs.

For example, "in Caravaca de la Cruz are currently underway using two modules of maintenance of public spaces and archaeological interventions in the Cerro de la Fuente Archivel, and various courses for the unemployed and the Restaurant and Bar" as pointed out Councilman Jobs in the City of Caravaca, Salvador Gomez.

County Council Jobs Northwest is chaired by the Director General of Regional Employment and Training, Ginés Martínez, and has representation from local councils and social and economic agents of the five municipalities that make up the Northwest.

The functions of this committee, which meets on a rotating basis in the municipalities, are related to the search for new employment opportunities, analyzing the potential of each of the municipalities.
