With over 400 registered athletes, the Duathlon Caravaca de la Cruz is going to beat the next Saturday, March 11, all records of participation in its twelve year history.

Among the outstanding athletes are registered on the national scene, as the champion of Spain and Olympic Triathlon Elite Ainhoa ​​Murua.

In addition, the Sports Department of the City of Caravaca, organizer of this event, has already confirmed the participation of Spain runner Jesus Gomar, of the former member of the Spanish Isaac Lopez Carrion and long distance triathlete Jon Unanue.

The Councillor for Sports, Emilio Perez, has been very satisfied with the response the Caravaca Duathlon XII received by athletes at local, regional and national level by achieving the participation of previous years and placing the test between increased recognition of the Region of Murcia.

The main novelty of the XII Duathlon Caravaca de la Cruz is the change of route, with more sections of street circuit, to make it more attractive and exciting for the audience and participants.

The test consists of a first sector of foot race of 6,200 meters, plus 32 miles of cycling, to finish with 3,100 yards on foot.

Another novelty is that the start area, finish and transition will be located on the seafront of the slide and Temple Square.

The test at senior start at 16.30 hours and the lower at 15.00.
