Coinciding with the feast of San Juan de la Cruz, Caravaca City Council has given awards Albacara literary contest, organized by the Department of Culture, through its Municipal Library, in order to promote literacy among young people and promote new values in this field.
The mayor, Domingo Aranda, along with the mayor of Culture, Maria Cruz Pérez, and the Superior of the Community of Discalced Carmelites, Father Juan Antonio Marin, delivered last night the awards at a ceremony held at the Casa de la Cultura Emilio Saez.
The first prize for fiction in the first category went to Sandra Amador Moreno, a student of IES Archivel Oróspeda with the book "The Stranger."
The jury recognized the second prize work "The beautiful story of Cahel" Sara Ecija Willrett student in the School of Cehegín Pérez Villanueva.
In the second category, was awarded first prize Clara González Murcia, IES San Juan de la Cruz, with the book "Creatures of mirrors", and the second Torrecilla Maria Isabel Puerta, author of "A diary, a life. "
The jury agreed to award second prize to the work "I'm not crazy," the student of Oróspeda Carlos Alfonso Navarro Jorquera, and "Dreams come true" for the student in the San Juan de la Cruz María del Mar Moreno.
