The Department of Social Promotion of the City of Caravaca, in collaboration with the City of Cehegín, has scheduled a benefit concert for the earthquake victims in Haiti.
The performance will be borne by the Musical Society and the Choir Cehegín City and will take place this Sunday, October 3, at 2030 hours in the church of El Salvador.
The funds raised by this concert will go entirely for the campaign "Put a brick Solidarity", which includes the construction of shelters by the NGO Action Fire to accommodate families who lost their homes in the earthquake.
The project, which has the support of the Regional Government, the Foundation Cajamurcia and other municipalities in the region, is the construction by the volunteers of the NGO Action Fire shelters about 200 700 people.
The mayor of Social Promotion, Carmen Ruiz, recalled that the City has awarded a grant to assist with this project and delivered the proceeds to a charity gala held last May in the theater Thuillier.
