Caravaca de la Cruz has received during the day today activities under the First Forum Initiatives and Experiences of Greenways, organized by the Tourist Consortium of the Northwest Greenway and the Spanish Railway Foundation (FFE) in collaboration with the City Council Caravaca.
The forum was opened this morning by the mayor, Domingo Aranda, director general of Tourism, Marina Garcia, the representative of the Ministry of Environment, M ª Angeles Soria, and the representative of the Foundation of Spanish Railways, M ª Xosé Porteiro.
During the opening the Mayor has welcomed over 60 participants from different Spanish provinces and said that this act is an example of the significant commitment that the three governments are doing to enhance the value of greenways and convert a quality tourism product.
During the day there have been various talks and seminars on institutional collaboration, management or employment in the Greenways.
In the afternoon the participants in the forum made a tour of a section of the Northwest Greenway to know some of their kits.
Through this forum, responsible for greenways in different parts of the Spanish geography have the opportunity to share experiences and knowledge, thereby promoting collaboration and best practices.
Among those attending are political and technical and environmental experts, ecotourism, rural development, entrepreneurs and representatives of Greenways.
