A group of cyclists have completed this morning the 943-km route linking the Cantabrian town of Camargo in Caravaca de la Cruz, thus fulfilling the promise made in the Holy Year of 2003 to return to the city in the next Jubilee.
The components of the cycling club Camargo Veterans have been received in the Meeting Room of City Hall by the deputy mayor, Amador Lopez, who thanked them for the enormous effort made to arrive at Caravaca and made them a memory and delivery of material tourism.
Cyclists, meanwhile, have delivered gifts and letters from the mayors of Santander and Camargo, which show their support for the Holy Year 2010.
The Veterans cycling club Camargo, celebrating the 20 anniversary of its founding, has traveled throughout Spain with its forward in stages.
Began with the Camino de Santiago in the North and in subsequent editions have made numerous trips Routes emblematic of the Ebro and the Duero, the Ruta de la Plata (Sevilla) or the Route of Don Quijote (Ciudad Real).
