85% of tourists served comes from other regions different from Murcia
Caravaca de la Cruz has quadrupled the number of visitors during the months of July and August compared to the summer of 2009.
The total number of tourists who have requested information on the municipal tourism stands at 19,039, 300% more than in 2009 and 30% more than in the Holy Year 2003.
The Councillor for Tourism, Gonzalo López-Auguy has positively assessed the figures, although he pointed out that the number of pilgrims who will come to the city will increase considerably during the last quarter, given the number of groups and groups that have requested information on the Office of Tourism and Caravaca Jubilee.
Of all registered users during July and August at the Municipal Office of Tourism and information points around the city, 10% are from other parts of the Region of Murcia, 85% are visitors from other regions and 5% came from other countries.
