More than 200 people have participated in the 'Súmate' march, organized by the Council of Social Services and Women of the Caravaca City Council on the occasion of the 'International Women's Day'.

"March 8 is a day of vindication, denunciation and reflection that calls for innumerable demonstrations against sexist violence and allows to highlight the discrimination that women continue to suffer in order to have equal access to employment, education or health ", According to the words of the councilor responsible for the areas of Women and Social Services, Mª José Soria, who has pronounced the manifesto, accompanied by the mayor and members of the Municipal Corporation.
Then, participants in the march, together with municipal representatives, have joined the International Women's Strike, convened for this day in countries around the world.
The mayor María José Soria has announced that the caravaqueñas honored at the next Gala Tribute to Women Entrepreneurs and Working Women will be Antonia Sánchez Sandoval, who has been in charge of 'Perfumería Antoñita' for 52 years, first with her parents and sister and then as Manager of the same until the year of his retirement, and Isabel Alfocea Brocal, who, along with his family, runs the oven and the bakery 'La Josefita' for 45 years.
