The Director General of Agricultural Funds of the Autonomous Community, Carmen Garcia and the Councillor for Agriculture and Environment in the City of Caravaca, Enrique Fuentes, visited several farms in the municipality in which environmental improvements apply and promoting biodiversity priority objectives of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
Such farms benefiting from an annual European aid per hectare, called 'green payment' or 'greenning', which reported the Region of Murcia during the last campaign European aid worth approximately 14 million euros.
Farmers receiving the 'green payment' held in their practices holdings as crop diversification, maintenance of permanent pasture, of great importance for carbon sequestration, and the establishment of ecological focus areas.
