Tourism collaborates with the municipality of Orihuela in the set-up of the Way of the Cross of Caravaca in its section by the Valencia (05/03/2016)

The Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment and the municipality of Orihuela collaborate on the design of different actions within the project 'Way of the Cross of Caravaca'.

The general director of the Institute of Tourism, Manuel Fernández-Delgado, met this week with the mayor of this municipality, Emilio Bascuñana, to advance the tuning of the 'Camino de Levante' first run of those included in the 'Path Caravaca de la Cruz 'and oriolana part of the city.

During the meeting we worked on the program of joint actions to be carried out, which encompass actions signaling, tourist information and attention to pilgrims along this particular stretch, which runs through seven kilometers out from the center of Orihuela and continues along the left bank of the river Segura, linking the Alicante province with the region in the vicinity of Beniel.

El Camino de Levante connects Orihuela Caravaca de la Cruz through a journey of 116 kilometers, which takes advantage itineraries and packaged as Butte River Segura (42 km) and Northwest Greenway (74 km) from Molina de Safe.
