The Department of Tourism starts Sunday visits to the villages, the countryside and the garden of Caravaca (18/02/2016)

The Department of Tourism of the City of Caravaca begins this Sunday, Feb. 21, the third phase of the 'tours and itineraries through the villages, the countryside and the garden of Caravaca. Sunday's itinerary leaves at 9.00 pm from Salons Castillo de la Cruz, towards the site of St. Agnes, where attendees will learn aspects of the old property of the Society of Jesus, irrigation and ditch Mines , wells of snow and the mill of the nineteenth century.

At 1030 hours, there will be a stop along the way for lunch at a restaurant in Barranda.

The route will continue for the Fountain of Caneja, hydrological and landscape interest, a visit to an old wheel-molineta, located in the same district caravaqueña.

Later he will visit a bakery and workshop of traditional sweets as well as the village church, the eighteenth-century image of La Purisima in Singla,.

Singla, participants will also learn a Roman villae, the mill of the Third and Torrecica.

At 1415 hours, again will stop along the way to replenish forces tasting a traditional meal in the Social Center of the Incarnation.

In the afternoon, the bus will move to the suburb of the Incarnation to visit Barranco de los Canteros and old quarries from which stone was extracted for the great churches of Caravaca.

The visit will culminate in one of the places of archaeological, historical and scenic sites of the municipality, such as the Strait Historic Site of The Incarnation and Quípar River, with explanations by the guide The Placica, Los Villaricos, the Black Cave, Cueva del Rey Moro, Los Molinos, and so on.

The arrival in Caravaca de la Cruz is scheduled for 18.00.

The countryside and villages, but also the garden of Caravaca retain some traditions, customs and monumental elements, sometimes even exclusive place in the region, in addition to providing identity and sense of community residents, can be a valuable appealing to many people of the town or of unknown alien existence.
