The projects are developed within the 'Agrarian County Councils' program, for which the Caracas Council receives funding from the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) and the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) In order to improve and regenerate green areas and pedestrian leisure spaces for citizens, the Caravaca de la Cruz City Council has a program of agricultural and gardening actions in place, which operates both in the urban area and in districts. Its implementation has allowed the hiring of 46 unemployed workers belonging to the agricultural sector, of which 10 have the category of professional foreman and 36 of agricultural laborers, as reported by the councilors of Works and Agriculture, José Antonio García, and Employment and Environment, Ana Belén Martínez, during the visit to the works that are being developed in different parts of the municipality. "This project is part of the 'Agrarian Regional Councils' program, which has a budget of 309,000 euros, for which the Caracas Council receives funding through the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) and the State Employment Service (SEPE ) ", explained the mayor Ana Belén Martínez. For his part, the councilor José Antonio García has detailed that the actions are divided into three projects, which are developed in the urban area and in the districts of Barranda and Archivel.

"In this way, we can improve open spaces for the enjoyment of citizens - at a time when they are more important than ever - and at the same time employment is generated for almost fifty people with a four-month contract." The actions are carried out in certain pedestrian spaces for recreation, focusing on the performance of gardening and regeneration of slopes that allow these places to improve aesthetically, functionally and environmentally. In the urban area of ??Caravaca, work is done on the pedestrian walkways parallel to the Barrancos del Nevazo and San Jerónimo, known as the 'Red Roads'.

In these spaces, the aim is to improve the promenade and natural recreation area, carrying out clearing work, installation of protection wood cutter, formation of landscaped terraces, planting small hedges and trees to expand the shade.

Likewise, the installation of a drip irrigation network is contemplated to improve the new and existing landscaping. In Archivel, action is taken on the pedestrian walkway connecting with the Oróspeda Secondary Education Institute, as well as in the garden areas near the Social Center and the main avenue of the district, to continue with the improvement of other pedestrian routes.

To do this, work is carried out to plant trees, general clearing of flowerbeds and spaces and installation of a drip irrigation network to improve landscaping and existing and planned plant species. In the same way, action will also be taken in Barranda on the pedestrian walkway parallel to the old Granada road, where generalized clearing work will be carried out, manual work on the sides of it and its preparation for planting hedges and small trees, elimination of pivots and pedestrian obstacles.

Likewise, an improvement of the landscaped and recreational space around the Social Center will also be carried out.

In addition to the aforementioned clearing, planting trees and installing irrigation, an improvement of the firm land for pedestrian use will also be carried out by adding compacted red gravel.
