The task of this unit -whose agents have been instructed in the School of Training and Innovation of the Public Administration of the Region of Murcia- is to offer greater protection and proximity to the victims, as well as to act, in full coordination with the Civil Guard , in complaints of domestic violence and protection of minors. During the last meeting of the table, the statistics of the Center for Comprehensive Attention to Victims of Gender Violence (CAVI), which is based in Caravaca de la Cruz and serves users of the Northwest Region, were analyzed.

From January to October 2020, about 650 visits were made, of which 40 correspond to new cases and the rest to the follow-up carried out by the multidisciplinary team responsible for the service, made up of a lawyer, a social worker and a psychologist . Throughout the period of confinement of the first State of Alarm, that the CAVI service was provided electronically, about 420 telephone calls were answered and a total of 17 complaints were formalized. At the Municipal Center for Employment, Equality and Training, the councilors who direct the areas of Equal Opportunities and Health, Mónica Sánchez, and Citizen Security, José Santiago Villa, as well as the head of the Violence Coordination Unit met of Gender of the Delegation of the Government in the Region of Murcia, Isabel Barreda. Likewise, CAVI staff and representatives of the Local Police, Civil Guard, the Social Services Association, educational centers, the Employment and Training Service (SEF), the Northwest Regional Hospital and the municipal departments of Education were also part of the table.
