The improvement actions had a budget of 44,000 euros and consisted, among other aspects, in increasing the shaded area with the installation of a large awning and the planting of 13 mulberry trees, together with the repair and improvement of the entire irrigation system, as well as the installation of hydrants to facilitate cleaning of the entire enclosure. Another outstanding performance has been the repair of the pavement.
One of its areas has been equipped with special paint suitable for aquatic environments and in another, natural grass has been replaced by artificial grass, due to its poor condition and also to the cost of maintenance from one season to another.
Likewise, it should be noted that a picnic area equipped with six tables was created. The Councilor for Sports, Pepe Fernández Tudela, has outlined that there has also been an action in the Archivel pool with the installation of an access ladder adapted to facilitate the entry of people with physical disabilities. The municipal swimming pools of Caravaca de la Cruz, based in the urban area and in the Archivel district, started the season at the end of June, under security measures established by the Department of Sports to comply with the COVID-prevention protocol.
