Since last March 14, our President of the Government and Secretary General Pedro Sánchez decreed the State of Alarm, due to the very serious health crisis that affects our country, the Municipal Socialist Group has carried out responsible work, concerned at all times , by people who may be affected by COVID-19 in Caravaca de la Cruz.
Our spokesman and Secretary General Pepe Moreno, has contacted the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz on several occasions to reach out to him in this complicated situation that affects Spain, the Region of Murcia and for a few days also Caravaca from the cross.
Various economic and social measures have been requested by electronic registration, including putting into operation the necessary mechanisms so that the school canteens for children of the neediest families are put back into operation, in order to minimize the devastating economic consequences that will affect all citizens of districts and the urban area of ​​Caravaca de la Cruz.
The Municipal Socialist Group has also held various telematic meetings and telephone conversations with health professionals from the Comarcal del Noroeste Hospital and with non-health personnel who work in said hospital, to take an interest in the situation of COVID-19 and to what extent it affects our locality and at the same time request that all hospital workers have enough material to protect themselves against said virus.
The socialist and medical companion at the Hospital of La Paz, Raúl Sánchez, has spoken on several occasions with the socialist spokesman Pepe Moreno, to inform him of the situation and to transmit important advice to prevent contagion.
Pepe Moreno has also been in contact with the national deputy Juan Luis Soto Burillo, with the Government Delegate Pepe Vélez and with the captain of the Civil Guard of Caravaca de la Cruz, to know first-hand the data of the COVID-19 in the Murcia region.
Lastly, it should be noted that the Municipal Socialist Group of Caravaca de la Cruz supports all the measures that have been adopted since the Central Government decreed the State of Alarm, both the confinement measures and the battery of economic measures, mobilizing 200,000 million euros to support workers, families and employers.
600 million euros are earmarked for families for social services, care of the elderly and dependents, and it is ensured that no person in a difficult economic situation will lose their home.
Workers will be able to make the work day more flexible due to coronavirus and those affected by ERTEs, even if they do not meet the required contribution requirement, will be entitled to contributory unemployment benefit.
